The Standard Chartered Great City Race

The Standard Chartered Great City Race is taking place on Monday July 24th 2017.

This popular event has over 5,000 runners from around 400 companies in the banking, accountancy, insurance, law and media industries. The timing of the race (19:15) is specifically aimed at encouraging City workers to participate. Significant money is raised to support a number of local charities.

RACE ROUTE:

Route: City Road (start), Finsbury Square, Finsbury Pavement, Chiswell Street, Beech Street, Aldersgate Street, Aldersgate Street roundabout (Museum of London), Montague Street, King Edward Street, Newgate Street, St Martins Le Grand, Gresham Street, Wood Street, Love Lane, Aldermanbury, Gresham Street, King Street, Cheapside, Princes Street, Lothbury, Bartholomew Lane, Threadneedle Street, Old Broad Street, London Wall (westbound), London Wall eastbound), Moorgate, Finsbury Pavement, Finsbury Square, City Road (finish).

ROAD CLOSURES

To facilitate the event, there will be road closures in place from around 18:30, which will re-open again on a rolling basis once the runners have passed.
