Today I took part in a discussion organised by the think tank Bright Blue at #CPC2022 looking at the challenges of online fraud and crime. It was an interesting conversation with high praise for the #cityoflondon #CoLP for our work. However few police forces focus on this very significant crime, and we need to find more effective ways to interrupt online scams. I was encouraging by the banking representative contribution but fundamentally there is too little national conversation about the £27bil annual cost to the Uk of this crime and the hundreds of thousands of people who are affected.
