Today I took part in the IAPC meeting in London. IAPC is committed to fostering democracy and the democratic process throughout the world. It bought together 200 people from multiple countries and we had fascinating conversations about communication. I was delighted to moderate a session on Government and Stakeholder communications and how digital comms have shifted our understanding and altered how we engage. One thing that emerged is the important difference between volume and noise. Ensuring you understand what all the voices are saying and not being distracted merely by the loudest was a great take away.
