Police Board

Tonight the City of London convened a gathering of police and justice representatives.  It was an evening where we were lucky to hear from the Security Minister and could discuss in depth the level of online crime and the serious issue of cyber security. It impacts many people, many businesses and is a serious problem.

The City of London Police leads nationally on fraud and economic crime, which includes delivering the UK‘s national fraud and cyber-crime reporting centre, Action Fraud.

There needs to be a shift of understanding how precedent cyber risk is and how it impacts us all.  I hope the Security Minister’s newly expanded role inside Givernmwnt helps raise the concerns more broadly.
