Safety Thirst

The Safety Thirst scheme is growing with new awards given out to top venues today.

This is a partnership program run by the City of London Corporation, City of London Police, and the London Fire Brigade to promote safety in the City's licensed venues. The scheme assesses venues on criteria including counter terrorism, drink spiking, women's safety, sexual harassment, and suicide prevention, with accredited venues receiving certificates, plaques, and a discount on the late-night levy. The initiative is part of the City's strategy to make the Square Mile a thriving seven-day-a-week destination for visitors and workers.
