For 15 years I have had a role working with our food markets. I think they offer real world jobs, and are an important part of our food supply chain. I was very disappointed that increasing costs led to the abandonment of a plan to move the markets onto a new site fit for this century in Dagenham. However, as I explained in a recent interview there may be a group of businesses willing to rescue the plan.
