The Aldgate Pump, located at the junction of Aldgate, Fenchurch Street and Leadenhall Street, is a prominent historical fixture in Aldgate. The pump has a brass wolf head in place of a traditional spout fitting and was designed to note where the last wolf in London was shot. The 'Aldgate Wolf ' spout provided water to the community from one of London's underground streams for over 350 years.
