I’m pleased to share that those using the Central line at Bank station are now starting to benefit from high-speed mobile coverage as part of Transport for London (TfL) bringing mobile coverage to the entire Tube network.

Connectivity will benefit people commuting to and from the capital’s key financial zone, from Bank station via the ticket halls located on Cannon Street and underneath Bank junction by the Bank of England and Royal Exchange, as well as those using the Central line at Bank station.  Later this year, coverage will be expanded to the city branch of the Northern line and Waterloo & City line platforms.

All four mobile network operators - Three UK, EE, Vodafone, and Virgin Media O2 (VMO2) - are taking part in the rollout. In the coming weeks, more stations in Zone 1, such as Leicester Square and Charing Cross, will start to get mobile coverage.

The new coverage will also host the new Emergency Services Network (ESN), which when fully operational, will give first responders immediate access to life-saving data, images and information in live situations and emergencies on the frontline.

A list of the latest stations where mobile coverage is now available is below:

  • Central line - Holland Park, Notting Hill Gate, Queensway, Oxford Circus (Central line only), Tottenham Court Road, Holborn (Central line only), Chancery Lane, St Pauls, Bank
  • Northern line – Hampstead, Belsize Park, Chalk Farm, Highgate, Archway, Tufnell Park, Kentish Town (station closed from 26 June 2023 due to engineering works, but 4G will still be provided to platforms for passing trains), Camden Town, Mornington Crescent, Euston (Charing Cross Branch), Warren Street, Goodge Street, Tottenham Court Road, Clapham Common
