James Tumbridge and Paul Scully

Many people make London work.  One of the  people who really cared about making London work was Paul Scully.

He served as Minister for London from February 2020 until November 2023, and as a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Tech and the Digital Economy - a theme I have much interest in.

Today it was a privilege to thank him, by joining him in being recognised as a Freeman of the City of London - an honour with ancient legal rights, and temporarily granting him the right to be known as the ‘Youngest’ Freeman in the City, which as time passes for us all - is a nice thing!
